Welcome to my blog site.
My name is Holly Woodward, and I am in the third year of my degree in Photography at the Open College of the Arts. I live in Wiltshire and enjoy taking photos of my local environment.
Having first picked up a camera four years ago, my learning curve has been steep. I completed the OU Introduction to Photography course in the autumn of 2013, which I thoroughly enjoyed and it spurred me on to learning more about the subject. I am not looking for a career in photography (being semi-retired), and want to do this degree as I’d like to be the best amateur photographer that I can. I have a lifelong interest in creative arts, but had mainly been doing sewing and textile work until I took up photography. My recent projects have begun to combine sewing with photography, which I hope to continue in future.
My current camera is a Panasonic Lumix GH4 camera, with telephoto and macro add-on lenses. I use both Lightroom and Photoshop though I am very much a beginner on Photoshop. My Flickr site is hollywoodward375.
